  is a site with many, many resources for positive behavior support. 
The Positive Environments, Network of Trainers is a California Positive Behavior Initiative
designed to provide information and resources throughout California
for educators striving to achieve high educational outcomes through the use of
proactive positive strategies.


Here is a great resource for social skills.  Lots of powerpoint stories to use.

http://polyxo.com/   Polyxo.com is a resource for parents, professionals, or anyone interested in teaching children with autism or other related developmental disorders.  It is well organized, easy to read, and has links to data sheets, an explanation of ABA and Discrete Trial, a synopsis of Floortime, sample Social Stories, and ideas for using visual supports.   This is one of my favorite sites.


http://www.autism4teachers.com/    This site was created by four teachers who have worked together and continued to share ideas and support each other since 2004.  On their web pages, they provide information and visual examples from their classrooms.  The pages include schedules, activities, work tasks, classroom set-up, social skills ideas, inclusion information, and much, much more.  Plan to spend a little extra time at this site.  Check all the links.

   The Time Timer by Generaction, Inc. is a silent, visual timer.  This is a wonderful invention for timing assignments, helping children to take turns, and even for teaching "wait" skills.   It makes no noise, and can be seen from across a classroom.   These timers come in a variety of sizes and styles.  Prices start at around $25.00.
